The Great Whore of Revelation 17:1 is judged by God, An Angel tells John to come and see the judgment of the great whore that sits on many waters.The kings of the earth have fornicated with her and been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. John was carried away and saw this "woman" riding the back of the Beast with seven heads and ten horns. This woman was dressed in loud colors and arrayed with all manner of trinkets.
On her forehead was the name(s) Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. Notice this is four descriptors of the great harlot, there is not anything called Mystery Babylon as almost everyone cites, but these are only descriptions of the great whore. Many people likewise try and suggest that the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) is mystery Babylon or the whore of Babylon, but Rev. 17:6 dispels this notion in that the woman was drunk with the blood of both the saints and martyrs of Jesus blood, and the [RCC ]was not around to harm the saints of old, neither was Islam. False Religion, all false religion from the beginning of time, that is the Great Whore that is being judged by God.
The mystery of the beast that was, is not, yet is. He is the eighth king and is of the seven. The seventh king is king but a short time. The eighth king is Satan himself, he possesses the seventh king, which is the Anti-Christ or beast whose kingdom last but a short time.These ten kings have no power as yet, (Johns Time) but receive power with the beast for an hour. (short time)
The kings in league with the Beast then destroys the Great Whore (False Religion) in Revelation 17:16 and burn her, but why ? Because the Anti-Christ will demand that all worship him as god !! He will destroy any and all religions in order to bring this to pass. The whore sits on many waters, which is peoples, nations and tongues, so she is world wide by the end times.In Rev. 17:17 we find out that God placed this in their hearts to fulfill his will. God has judged the Great Whore. The kings were made drunk by her wine, the apostles were made drunk by the Holy Spirit, yin/yang.
In Revelation chapter 18 we see Babylon is the subject here for real, not the Great Whore. But what is Babylon ? It represents mans venture at governing himself without God at the head. All of the Beast Systems of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome, even revived Rome or the European Union are in this category. So another Angel comes with another judgment, this is a judgment on Babylon or all the Beast Systems. Babylon is Fallen, is Fallen. This world will be burning after the Seal judgments, the Trump judgments and the Vial judgments. Men will cry at her burning. Rich merchants will bewail her destruction, those same people that served money over God.
Babylon is become the habitation of devils. Satan is cast down from heaven and Appolyon and Scorpion like demon are loosed from the pit to torment man kind. God cries come out of her my people that you not share in her plagues. I think this is God telling Israel to flee unto the Wilderness in Revelation chapter 12.
God judges the Great Whore, by using the Anti-Christ.
God judges Babylon with the Seal/Trump and Vial Judgments.
The Great Whore = All False Religion since the beginning of time.
Babylon = All the Beast Systems that tried to govern without God at its head.
